What is My Emoticons?
My Emotions creates free emoticons for instant messenger, email and blogs. Emoticons are also called 'smileys' or 'smilies' and are used to express emotion in online communications. Our free emoticons work with any application that supports custom emoticons e.g. MSN Messenger, email and blogs. There are many styles of emoticons. We're obsessed with designing high quality emoticons with a quirky creative twist. We try out all emoticons with friends before you see them. Then we create neat little collections so you can find what you want when you want. We're not perfect but we try to do the right thing. We say no to paging, stealing, adware and spyware.

How do you use My Emoticons?
It's easy. Download any of the free emoticons from www.myemoticons.com. Once you have downloaded and saved the free emotions onto your PC you can then insert them into a range of applications such as instant messenger, email and blogs. Which software applications do the emoticons work with?
My Emoticons was originally designed for MSN Messenger but the free emoticons can also be used in any other application that supports animated emoticons as this list below explains:
Instant Messenger: MSN Messenger (recently re-branded to Windows Live Messenger) is the only instant messenger software that supports custom animated emoticons.
Email: My Emoticons' free emoticons will work with almost any email software including Hotmail, GMail and Microsoft Outlook.
Blogs: My Emoticons free emoticons can also be used in blogs such as MySpace. Simply upload the free emoticon image file(s) into your blogging application.
How do I insert emoticons into MSN Messenger?
Once you have downloaded and saved the free emoticons onto your PC follow these steps to install the free animated emoticons into MSN Messenger:
1. Open the main MSN Messenger window.
2. Click the 'Tools' menu and select 'My Emoticons'
3. Click 'Create' in the Emoticons dialogue box
4. Click 'Find image' and select the directory and file of the emoticon on your PC
5. Type a shortcut key that you can use in your conversations that will display the msn emoticon
6. Type a name for your emoticon
7. Click 'ok'
How do I insert emoticons into AOL Messenger or Yahoo Messenger?
Unfortunately AOL Messenger (AIM) and Yahoo Messenger do not support custom animated emoticons. Users of Yahoo or AIM need to install additional plug-in software that creates the ability to use custom emoticons in your conversations. How do I insert free emoticons into email?
Almost all email applications support inserting free emoticons. First, make sure you enable 'Rich text Editing' in your email application. Then follow the instructions for your email application to insert graphic images into email to insert the emoticon picture.
